Commercial Recycling Program

Ripple Glass is teaming up with Deffenbaugh Industries to make glass recycling easy and affordable for metro-area bars and restaurants. Dedicated glass bins — much smaller than the big purple containers found in parking lots throughout the city — nestle next to traditional trash dumpsters, allowing businesses to reduce the frequency and volume of their trash pickups while keeping perfectly good glass out of the landfill.

Participating commercial establishments will earn the "Ripple Glass Certified Recycler" designation, and will be authorized to proudly display this seal as evidence of their commitment to environmental excellence.

When the program is up and running, we'll post a complete list of all Ripple Glass Certified Recyclers so consumers can easily see if their favorite bar or restaurant is doing the right thing. In the meantime, be sure to let the places you patronize know you want them to participate!

The pilot program is set to begin this fall, and will include businesses in Kansas City, MO between the Missouri River and 75th Street. Soon thereafter, we'll expand the program to encompass the entire metro area.
